How we are working together

We are working with Riverside Unified School District to develop applications for students, teachers, parents, and leaders to coordinate their support of students based on real-time data.

What they do

With schools dating back to the 1870s, the award-winning Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) is now the 16th largest school district in California. RUSD educates nearly 42,000 students across 50 schools in Riverside. The District serves a large portion of Riverside as well as the unincorporated areas of Highgrove and Woodcrest. RUSD is led by its 11th Superintendent, Dr. David C. Hansen and is governed by a Board of Education comprised of publicly elected officials who serve five different trustee areas.

RUSD strives to provide a cutting-edge, innovative education for all students. It was the only district nationally recognized as a “Success Partner” by Google and has AP computer sciences courses at each of its high schools. RUSD maintains 12 Girls Who Code clubs across the district. As a leading organization in the state, RUSD was a contributing author to the statewide California Computer Science Equity Guide and is a highlighted member of the national Computer Science for All Consortium.

Navigator allows my students to take agency of their learning. I walk around and facilitate learning. My students are engaged and can work at their own pace, in small groups or with the whole class.
